Meet the Team

Martin Simpson (Market Research Director)
Martin has a degree in Government and Public Policy as well as an MBA and is a member of the Market Research Society. Martin has managed a large number of local authority projects and has at present overall responsibility for the management of the Carlisle City Council Citizens Panel and Cumbrian Newspapers Reader Panels of which there are six.  Martin has over 20 years of experience in advertising, marketing and market research. 

Lynne Wild (Senior Market Research Executive)
Has over 11 years experience in Market Research, 7 of which were in the Public Sector (as research officer for a Local Authority) Lynne is a full member of the Market Research Society, has a MSc in Research Methods and a degree in Social Science. Lynne has vast experience of the management of local authority consultation from questionnaire design through to statistical analysis of responses. Prior to local government Lynne worked at the Institute for Social and Economic Research at Essex University.

Andrew Woods (Business Development Manager)
Previous to joining CN Research Andrew has worked for both the Public Sector including Local Authority renaissance projects,  and the Private Sector (Telecommunications - BT, O2 Ltd). With over 18 years experience in marketing and business development, he is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).  Andrew has strong experience in conducting original research and secondary analysis projects focussed on helping companies understand their markets or the needs of people via consultation programmes.

Vicky Johnstone (Market Research Analyst)

Vicky has been working with the company for 4 years in questionnaire design and analysis. Vicky is experienced in SNAP and SPSS and is a key member of the analysis department.

Kath Wallace (Field and Operations Manager)
Has over 9 years experience in Market Research at all levels of fieldwork, questionnaire design, administration, data input and analysis and quality control.

Lisa Blackburn (Research Executive)

Lisa has 4 years experience in the research field and is involved in the administrative work in the operations department including Data editing, quality checks and literal analysis.

Computer Aided Telephone Interview (CATI)
Kath and Susan supervise over 30 staff in our CATI suite.

Field Teams
We have our own local face to face survey teams, all of which are specially trained in interview techniques.
