Reputation Management for Local Government

At CN research we have developed a market research toolkit for reputation and brand management for Local Government. 

Research has identified core actions that, when delivered well, are proven to have a marked and positive impact on a Council’s reputation.  One of these key actions is to ensure that the Council’s brand is consistently linked to services. 

At CN Research we have developed a range of research tools to assist marketing and communication managers to ensure their Council and officers are getting the recognition they deserve.

Services include:

• Council logo and signage audit : A review of external signage, reception areas, TICs, car parks, public toilets, play areas and vehicles etc.  Recommendations cover brand guidelines and integrated communications.
• Local residents perceptions surveys: This can include focus groups with a cross section of local residents, and/or a telephone survey of residents.  The survey covers communications, perceptions and captures suggestions.
• Stakeholder surveys: In-depth interviews conducted key stakeholders including members of the business community.  The survey covers communications, perceptions and elicits suggestions for improvement. 
• Publications and web site reviews: A review of current and/or proposed publications and web sites including logo usage, design and content.  This can be undertaken as part of the logo and signage audit or separately. 
• Internal communications reviews: These can be conducted online.
