Service Evaluation
Focused evaluation for small services and organisations, to understand what is working, what could improve, and what your data and service users can tell you.
CN Research can undertake focused evaluations of existing services, programmes and areas of organisational practice.
An evaluation might explore:
-
how a service is experienced by the people who use or deliver it
-
what appears to be working well
-
outcomes or patterns within existing service data
-
areas of unmet need
-
barriers to effective delivery
-
opportunities for improvement or future development
The purpose, scope, intended use of the findings and any relevant governance requirements are agreed at the beginning of the project.
Data Collection & Analysis
Using the information you already have, and collecting new information where needed.
Evaluation can draw on information your organisation already holds, new data collected specifically for the project, or a combination of both.
Existing information might include:
-
service or monitoring data
-
outcome measures
-
existing survey or questionnaire data
-
feedback forms
-
open-text responses
-
interview or focus-group transcripts
-
existing qualitative or quantitative datasets
New information can be collected through:
-
questionnaires or surveys
-
qualitative interviews
-
small focus groups
-
other forms of feedback or data collection appropriate to the evaluation question
CN Research can analyse qualitative and quantitative material to identify patterns, themes, relationships and differences. Where useful, different forms of evidence can be brought together to answer the evaluation question and produce findings that can support future decisions or service development.
